I was gonna do a blog like I did last year where I do a highlight from each month, but when I went to try to do that this year, I realized alot of awesome shit happened in the same months, lol. So I decided instead of covering the whole year, to just choose 10 Favorite Moments from the year and post them up.
So here there are, in NO particular order, but I’m pretty sure you can figure out what order IT SHOULD be in, haha.
- The Grand Opening of ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’
In June, Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure had it’s grand opening for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Leilani (she’s the big HP fan), Katie & I went. It took us 8 hours of standing in line just to get inside of that section of the park and even though it was hot as hell and you couldn’t really do anything in that section of the park we had alot of fun and I think it was worth it. I mean how many people can say they were there opening day and broke the Harry Potter ride? I CAN. LOL!
- BACKSTREET’S BACK! ALRIGHT!
In June, thanks to my friend Loren, Leilani & I got to go see The Backstreet Boys in Biloxi, MS in the 3rd row! I’ve been a BSB fan for well over 10 years now and that was the CLOSEST I’ve ever been able to watch one of their shows. Thanks again Loren <3
- 100 Monkeys At The Orpheum
It’s really hard to pick just one picture to represent this night, because it was just filled with tons of fun and face hurting laughter because of my friends drunkness at the 100 Monkeys show. I being the photographer recorded and took pics of everything so they could see how much fun they were having later and boy did we ever. Not only did 100 Monkeys put on a great show, but it was just so much fun having all my friends together and us just enjoying a good show and each other, goofing around & just being ourselves. I can’t wait to have more times like this one!
- My Birthday Road Trip
For my birthday, Leilani & Me took to a 5 day road trip, which started with us going to Dallas to meet up with our bff, Jennifer and going to Warped Tour to see The All-American Rejects (July 3rd). Then driving to St. Louis, MO on July 5th (my birthday) to see AAR again on Warped Tour. After that we drove to Chicago to look at The Dark Knight, Ferris Bueller and Wanted filming spots, then to Gary, IN to see Michael Jackson’s childhood home and THEN we drove to Detriot, MI to see my friends Amy, Lori & Denise before driving back home to FL <3
- California to Florida with Tre Tre
I did alot of traveling in March, this year. The 2nd trip I took in March, I flew to San Diego, CA so that I could drive back to Florida with my little brother, Travis. He was being deployed to Afghanistan and didn’t wanna leave his car in California while he was gone, so I flew out there to be his wingman on the 3 day drive home. FUN FUN FUN! Seriously when we were driving all day long it didn’t feel like we were in the car driving because we were having so much fun just being goofy :)
- Bobby Long Trips
The 3rd trip in March I flew to NYC to meet up with a group of twitter friends that organized a huge meet up of Bobby Long fans to go see Bobby Long in NYC. Not only did we get an amazing performance from Bobby (nothing out of the ordinary), but I also made some new great friends. Oh and not to mention some new ear candy, Bobby’s opener was a guy named Connor from the band, Villagers.
Then in May I was invited to the private Bobby Long show at my friend Amy’s house and talk about good times but also one of those life changing moments. Well not really changing, but just one of those moments in life that you’re just in awe of. And I’m so thankful that Amy invited me into her home for that wonderful experience <3
- Comic Con 2010
My friend Katie bought, me, herself & Leilani tickets the November before to Comic Con and I didn’t really want to go, but went so that the trip wouldn’t be too stressful on them. Needless to say I’m glad I did because OMG it was NOT what I expected and I’m totally going next year!
- The ‘Remember Me’ Premiere
In March I took the first trip EVER by myself and flew to NYC to meet up with my friend, Courtney to go to the premiere for Remember Me. Didn’t get to meet Robert Pattinson a the premiere, but got to meet his costars and Wes Bentley. However the next day we met him after his taping on the John Stewart show :)
- Val Emmich Road Trip
Me, Leilani, Erin and Matt drove to NYC for pretty much 24 hours to see Val Emmich perform. Not only did we get to see my favorite artist perform an amazing show but we also got to hang out with some of my favorite NYC people!
Making the 18+ hour drive (one way) and stupid drama we had to deal with people not knowing how to drive, worth every freaking minute. I actually made a video of this trip and put it up on youtube, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3AzoR_1rvs
- The ‘Inception’ Premiere
My mom & I flew to LA for 2 days for the Inception premiere, knowing full well that all we would possibly get out of the trip was to FINALLY see Leonardo DiCaprio in person. Needless to say we were shocked to find out that we’d get more then that. Well not that much more, but we got an autograph and he was possible half a foot away from us for a few minutes. I’m pretty sure I forgot to breathe for that entire length of them.
BRING IT 2011.
