“So this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I’m still trying to figure out how that could be.”—The Perks of Being a Wallflower | Submitted by: kate-kate-kate (via quote-book)
“I didn’t know why I was going to cry, but I knew that if anybody spoke to me or looked at me too closely the tears would fly out of my eyes and the sobs would fly out of my throat and I’d cry for a week. I could feel the tears brimming and sloshing like water in a glass that is unsteady and too full.”—The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath (via quote-book)
I notice three things about Taurean Robert Pattinson right away: 1. He is incredibly moody and private. 2. He has the same “fame” placement as Angelina and Gwyneth. 3. If he’s smart, he will never, ever, under any circumstances, try a single drug. Like, even Nyquil.
Robert’s a sweet and sensitive guy. In love he’ll look for a partner who is assertive and in control. No wallflowers for him. He will think he’s up to the challenge, but he must be very careful – he’s not nearly as resilient as he thinks he is. With a sensual Taurus sun and equally tactile Cancer Moon and Rising, you can bet that he’ll never date anyone who isn’t drop-dead gorgeous.
Currently, Hollywood money is on Taylor Lautner; conventional wisdom holds that he’ll be the bigger star – and that may well be the case – but Robert’s the better artist. Perhaps neither can act well now, but Robert shows enormous potential. Hopefully he has some incredibly tough representatives though, because set adrift in the nasty world of Hollywood, he’s bound to soak up some bad vibes from sycophants and rivals alike.
Robert is unusually artistic and receptive. For good or ill, his mother plays a mammoth role in his life. He goes entirely on hunches and has better intuition than most practicing psychics. Because he is so sensitive to his dreams and visions, Robert must be very, very careful about using drugs. If he falls into this trap, he’ll claim at first that they service his artistic yearnings. What he won’t know is that the drugs tap into a self-destructiveness that has nothing to do with high-minded philosophies and method acting.
“What I want is to be needed. What I need is to be indispensable to somebody. Who I need is somebody that will eat up all my free time, my ego, my attention. Somebody addicted to me. A mutual addiction.”—Chuck Palahniuk | (submitted by rach-cat) (via quote-book)
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life… as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.”—Booker T. Washington (via kari-shma) (via quote-book)
