Leonardo DiCaprio is my lord & savor.
Ask Me WHATEVER You WantAll the goodies I got last night at the Valentine’s Day free preview of Titanic in 3D!!!!
P.S. - I dunno if you can tell in this picture but yes there’s a little bo-bo Heart of the Ocean necklace on my 3D glasses :)
First of all, how is it POSSIBLE that there are people in this world that STILL haven’t seen Titanic?!
I only ask this because the majority of people that were at this free screening tonight obviously havent with the amount of reactions with certain things. Made me feel like an asshole for how little, to no reaction I have now with the movie, lmfao.
I mean it’s humbling that these people are getting to see it for the first time on the big screen, but it’s also sad that they’ve been living under a rock these past 15 years (yea it’s been that long this December) and haven’t seen it.
That aside, OMG GUYS.
Let me just first say that I am not a 3D crazed person what SO EVER, because I get headaches and/or sick from watching movies in that format. However with Titanic, the only time I kinda started to get a headache with was at the end when they’re splashing around in the water.
To make a long review short, I was extremely surprised at how real it looked and what I mean was how you would of NEVER guessed this movie WASN’T filmed in the 3D format. Which I have read in recent reviews of other critics that have also seen it.
Not going to lie to you, to me there wasn’t a big difference with the whole 3D aspect of the movie, but the water. OMG I can’t describe to you how cool all the underwater shots looked 3Dish, but to be honest I was too focused on fangirling over seeing it on the big screen again and the fucking free shit we got!
Although my favorite scene, the lifeboat scene (you titanic movie buffs know what i’m talking about) looked pretty cool with Jack & the fireworks, just *sigh*
I can officially say I have survived a Leonardo DiCaprio death in 3D (spoiler alert) and it’s completely heartbreaking, especially since the 3D makes it seem like you can reach out and grab his hand *sigh*
My favorite 3D scene(s) of the movie, besides the ones I just named would have to definately be at the end when Gloria Stuart (RIP) threw the necklace into the ocean. I can’t begin to describe to you how beautiful the necklace looked sinking through the water AND the reunion scene at the end, it’s almost as if Jack is offering his hand TO YOU.
Seriously omg and if that’s not enough, the whole time I kept screaming in my head that Kate & Leo need to just go ahead and make babies because it’s really not fair to us hardcore Titanic fans.
I just ugh I’m like on a cloud 9, was such a great experience not only because I was with my mom on valentine’s day seeing our favorite movie of all time, but we also got free shit! Which I’ll post a picture tomorrow since my internet is being weird right now.
The only issue I had with the whole experience, was these 2 hispanic ladies commentating the WHOLE MOVIE even though they’ve never even SEEN IT. I mean I’ve seen this movie a million fucking times and not gonna lie it was extremely hard for me not to recite the whole movie while watching it, but I at least respected the people around me and didn’t.
I can’t wait for this to come out in April so I can go see it a bunch more times and with my friends :)
By the way, since it’s being re-released does that mean there’s a possibility that we can bump Avatar out of the top grossing movie of all time spot? Cause if so, I’d REALLY like to try to do that, just saying.
OMG! Not only did we get a boarding pass to get into this free screening of Titanic, we also got a gift bag with a shirt and special edition Titanic 3D glasses!!
To say I’m in geek heaven is putting it LIGHTLY.
